That’s right. And it’s not even in its 60s.
I’ve logged out of my Bandcamp page, and it will receive no further updates or music releases. It’s also been removed from my About page.

Here’s the main motivator for this change:

Literally zero plays since December. Nothing for the past 3 releases.
Under usual circumstances, I’d grit my teeth and leave the option available, but I’ve came to a realization that the platform isn’t really fit for me. A major part in the model is selling your music and physical goods, but I can’t do any of that. Discoverability doesn’t appeal to me either. SoundCloud feels like a better, more social option, and I haven’t seen many modern hardcore fans super interested in Bandcamp.

I’m grateful for what this platform gave me with starting my journey, but it’s about time I move on.

Also, minor updates to the website:

  • Fixed the blog post word counter counting HTML tags. This has been an issue since Halloween 2023.
  • Added icons to blog post pages. Date, author, tags, and post length to be specific.
  • Made social links use icons instead of colored text. Graphic design is my passion.
  • Team list cleanups: neatening up some words.
  • Two new 404 page messages. I don’t even have anything to say about that.

See you soon! Sooner than 321 days!
